The results do corroborate the importance and the current attention of the topic within both IT and
Management departments, but also involving more and more social and psychological aspects of human
resources studies. The annual scientific production has been lately increasing, reaching a peak of over
1000 articles and essays on the subject in 2022.
Annual scientific production
It is worth to point out that Open Innovation related articles are catching the interest of more and more
Management journals and reviews compared to IT and high-technology related magazines.
