Co-founders Dimitris (Jim) Evangelopoulos and George Varvarelis tried to discover simplified solutions that would allow farmers to do more with less. Together, they used their academic training in electronics and their agricultural backgrounds to come up with a solution that would drive results for farmers. They developed the Augmenta system: the world's first real-time camera-based hardware platform with artificial intelligence (AI) based on variable rate application (VRA).

Augmenta, now a part of Raven and a brand under CNH Industrial, stands united with farmers worldwide in their mission to serve the world. By employing suggested agronomic methods to optimize chemical use and by lowering input costs, Raven and Augmenta have a strong shared commitment to promoting sustainability.
